The district court of the city of Hamburg stated in its decision, dated 12/05/1998 that the operator of a website may be responsible for the contents of third-party websites that can be reached by hyperlinks from the operator's website. Since Landau Zoo is completely beyond control of such websites, we do not assume any responsibility for the contents of third-party websites. The district court of Hamburg furthermore stated that the operator shall not be liable for the contents of such websites if responsibility is explicitly excluded on the operator's website.
